Our Open Roles:      

  • Studio Intern

Studio Internship

Twenty Two West is looking for a studio intern with a strong interest in creativity, small business and handmade. You will have a front row seat to what it really looks like to run a creative small business. Working closely with our incredible team, you will have opportunities to utilize the skills you already have and improve in new areas.  Your impact will certainly be felt and noticed. No previous experience is required, but you must be able to work with others to follow instructions and execute accordingly.

 

This role will be working in-person in our studio + storefront in West Charlotte | 2613 Tuckaseegee Road. Exact start date is flexible. This role will work approximately 7 - 14 hours per week, and we are open to working with your schedule (note that our studio hours are 10:45 – 6pm Tuesday – Saturday).

  

Responsibilities:

·       Assist with photo shoot including organizing materials, styling, and more

·       Basic photography of custom products and helping capture the day

·       Assist our graphic designer with assets to share on our stories

·       Prepare displays for store and festivals

·       Maintain a clean and organized studio + storefront

·       Run errands and complete shipping tasks

Desired Traits:

·       Must reside in the Charlotte Area. This is an in-house position. 

·       Ability to multitask and have interest in learning a variety of artistic mediums (specifically we work with fiber, porcelain, metals, and wood)

·       Flexibility and dependability to meet deadlines

·       An eagerness to learn new techniques

·       Demonstrates great attention to detail

·       Ability to follow instructions and execute

·       Ability to work well with a team

 

Internships are unpaid, but can be used for university credit. We will work side by side with your school for approval of internship credit. We also like to hire out of our alumni pool for open positions in the studio. If you’re interested in becoming a permanent part of our team, this is a great first step!
